Covid-19 Update

The health and safety of our patients and team members continue to be our top priority as we respond to the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

- We will be available during business hours by phone and email to schedule you if you have an urgent issue. For any eye emergency, please call our office orThe Eye Institute at 321-722-4443.

Your health and well-being are of the upmost importance and we are taking measures to keep the office a safe environment for employees, their families, and our patients. We will be reopening our Rockledge office May 6, 2020 with limited days and hours.  The new Viera office will be opening with limited days and hours at the end of May.  Please call for details, and we ask that you be patient with us as we try to get through this “new normal.”

Our offices will follow infection control guidelines made by the American Optometric Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  In an effort to control patient traffic, we will stagger exams to start, allowing for time to fully disinfect instruments between patients and continue to keep proper social distancing.  We may also ask patients to wait in their cars, texting/calling them when we are ready for them to enter the office.  Frames and sunglasses will be disinfected after patients have touched and tried them on. We may need to make appointments for optical needs in order to limit the number of patients in the optical at a time.  We will continue to offer curbside delivery of contact lens orders and eyeglass deliveries if preferred.

We will screen patients when making appointments and ask that any patients with any symptoms of COVID-19 (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html) or have been tested positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive, to wait the appropriate time period and postpone their care until they feel better and are safe to visit our office. This has always been our policy, and we will continue to enforce this for everyone’s safety.

The waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, etc. since they are difficult to clean and disinfect. We will ask patients to please use hand sanitizer or wash their hands when entering the office.

We look forward to serving our community again while keeping every patient, our staff and families safe in our practice. We value your trust and loyalty as we continue to take care of your eye care needs.
